Microsoft Has Already Done Some Magical Work To Get Xbox 360 Games Running On Its Xbox One System, But Now The Company Wants To Bring Those Classics To Another One Of Its Primary Platforms.

Xbox Boss Phil Spencer Said That He Wants To Play Xbox 360 Games On PC. In An Interview With Gizmodo Brazil, Microsoft’s Gaming Chief Talked More About What He Wants His Team To Possibly Work On In The Future. One Of Those Things Includes Enabling People To Play Games Built For The Company’s Last Console On Windows 10. After Building The 360 Emulator For Xbox One, This Probably Wouldn’t Require A Ton Of Tinkering, But Spencer Noted That It’s Not Something He Has Engineers Actively Working On.

Here’s Spencer’s Comment Via Google Translate:

“[Xbox Games On Xbox One Is] Something I Want To Do, But It Is A Matter Of Priority. I Would Love To Have The Ability To Play Xbox 360 On PC At Some Point Too, So We Have Different Things We Have To Think About When We Plan These Things. But It Would Be Great To Have Support For Original Xbox Games. So Yes, I Want It, But We Have Many Other Things We Want To Do As Well.”

But, As Always, This Is An Update That May Take Some Time Or It May Never Come At All. Microsoft Is Working Right Now To Prepare Its November Update For The Xbox One, Which You Can Watch Our Preview Of Right Here. That Upgrade Is A Major Overhaul For The Console As It Offers New Ways To Navigate Just About Ever Aspect Of The System. So, For Now, The Company’s Team Seems Rather Busy, And Even If It Weren’t, Spencer Points Out That It May Want To Work On Other Things First.
