Why Are Twitter's 'Moments' Completely Ignoring Video Games?

This Week, Twitter TWTR +0.00% Debuted A New Tab In Its Desktop And Mobile Presences Called “Moments.” It’s Meant To Highlight The Week’s Important Stories Within A Particular Category, As They’ve Been Expressed On Twitter. Either Manually Or Automatically, Twitter Compiles Tweets, Videos And Photos Of The News Item In Question, And Whenever A New One Crops Up, Notifies Users Than There’s Another “Moment” To Be Seen.

Since Moments Have Appeared Earlier This Week, I’ve Found Almost None Of Them Particularly Relevant To My Interests. Namely, Because In The “Entertainment” Category, There Hasn’t Been A Single One About Video Games.

TV? Check. Moments About The Vampire Diaries Premiere And Shonda Rhimes

Music? Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Nominees And Rihanna’s New Album Art.

Movies? Disney’s New Voice Actor Casting And Julianne Moore And Ellen Page Talking About Their New Film

Celebrities? Tom Hanks Found Some Girl’s Student ID And Reese Witherspoon Got A Puppy.

And…That’s Pretty Much It.

It Has Not Been A Slow Week For Video Game Stories. There’s The Battlefront Beta, Destiny’s Exotic Hunt, League Of Legends Worlds Matches, A PS4 Price Cut, Star Citizen Drama, The Video Game Voice Actor Strike And On And On And On.
