Microsoft Office Remote app now available for Android devices

Users of Office 2013 have been gifted an app which allows them to access Office 2013 from their Android smartphones. This means they no longer have to give presentations or do other such things from behind a laptop or PC. The Office Remote for Android has been released by Microsoft. This is a free app. The app was originally a Microsoft-only one, but this move marks the company's willingness to embrace other users as well.
As mentioned earlier, one of the main uses of the app will be its PowerPoint remote feature. By using this, one can have control over a presentation, view slide notes and 'laser point' at specific points using the screen of the phone.
There is also the option of navigating between Word and Excel documents using a swipe motion. One can also move around Word documents by just tapping.
The app is available for download from Google Play. It is compatible with Android 4.0.3 or later. Its availability for the iOS platform is not yet known.
