Google Says There’s No Whitelist To Save You From Panda Or Penguin

Google's John Mueller said there is no whitelist for the Penguin and Panda algorithms, like there is for the SafeSearch algorithm.

John Mueller, a Google Webmaster Trends Analyst based on the Google Zurich office, said yesterday in a Google+ hangout that Google doesn’t have whitelists for the Penguin or Panda algorithms.
John said this at the 25 minute mark in the video, saying “we [Google] don’t have that [a whitelist] for a lot of the other algorithms like Penguin and Panda.”
In 2011, Google’s Matt Cutts at SMX West, told us they do have whitelists for algorithms but didn’t go into the algorithms that did have these whitelists or “exception lists,” as Matt called them. The transcript of that talk can be found over here.
Here is the transcript of how John Mueller answered the question yesterday morning:
For the most part we don’t have any special whitelist where we can say, well this website is actually  okay, therefore we will take it out of this algorithm.
